Kerala is noted for this type of halwa which is made from ripe bananas. There are several varieties of bananas but this one is prepared from one such variety which is the largest in size.
This halwa attains a dark colour almost, sticky and tasty. I tried making it at home and it turned out good. I had to buy this type of bananas as although I have banana plants I do not have this variety.
