Saturday is a big day for Germany because the Bundesliga returns from the hiatus caused by the coronavirus. Teams will have either 11 or 12 games to complete before the second wave of COVID-19 arrives. German soccer is so popular that a double header will be showed on Fox Sports 1 in the USA on Saturday. Here is a quick look at the six matches in the Bundesliga tomorrow.
Freiburg at Red Bull Leipzig. Red Bull Leipzig is currently in 3rd place and needs a victory to remain at the top of the table. However, Freiburg is the surprise team in the Bundesliga. Their squad was predicted to be near relegation, but they sit in eighth place. Red Bull likes to speed things up, while Freiburg attempts to slow things down and counter attack.
Hertha Berlin at Hoffenheim. Both teams are in the middle of the standings, but both teams desperately need a win because neither team wants to slide closer to the relegation zone.
Paderborn at Fortuna Dusseldorf. Both teams sit in the relegation zone. That means that anything can happen in this match. A win can possibly start a streak that can propel either team out of relegation.
Schalke 04 at Borussia Dortmund. This match will be the match of the day. This match will air on FS1 at 8:30 am EST. This game is a huge rivalry in Germany. They played to a scoreless draw the last time they met in October, but both teams have too much quality for this match to remain scoreless. Dortmund is in 2nd place, while Schalke is in 6th place.
Wolfsburg at Augsburg. Augsburg will be without their coach for this match after he broke the quarantine rules at the hotel in order to buy some toothpaste. That’s not good coaching. He should have asked the hotel clerk for some Colgate.
Borussia Monchengladbach at Eintracht Frankfurt. This match will be the second match of the TV doubleheader on FS1. Both teams have good players, but they have been inconsistent. Hopefully, this restart will put one of these teams on the right track for the remainder of the season.

my picks! no catchy acronym for that.
I’ve seen a couple of games in Germany years ago, this is a big deal!
That is so awesome that you have seen a Bundesliga game in person. The crowds usually bring a huge advantage to the home team. I will have to watch and see how the impact of no crowds affect the teams. I’m also glad that they are showing these games on FS1 Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
i saw that and I may actually watch some!
i was in Munich on a weekend, and the GM of the country gave us tickets!
Correction: Teams only have 8 or 9 games left to play in the season.
