Dr. Wayne W. Dyer? Ever heard of him? He’s a self-help guru. Some love him. Some loathe him. Some dare say he’s a fraud! Nonetheless, he keeps on keeping on. He is not known prominently as an author of books for children and grouped with other writers like Jane Yolen or Madonna! However, he did write a children’s book which has enjoyed some popularity: “Unstoppable Me: 10 Ways to Soar Through Life”, published in 2006.
This isn’t the only book for children that he has written. There are several others. But a lot of people seem to like this book; especially elementary school teachers (teachers of children between ages 5 through 11). The teachers believe it encourages self-esteem in young children and promotes a healthy attitude of self-respect.
Hmmm? That doesn’t sound so bad, does it?
The cool thing about the book is that it’s written as a poem and it makes the 10 ways easy for a child to remember.
