Hi friends, this is the picture of Lahore Railway station which is also famous as “Nolakha Railway Station”. It is said that during British raj the business of this station was 900000 indian rupees everyday, so it became famous as “Nolakha Station”. It is actually not only a railway station, it is a railway junction.
Lahore Railway Station was constructed short after 1857 war. It is the oldest and biggest railway station in the country. Every day thousand of people travel in Pakistan railway from this station.
If someone ask me about British Raj then i will say that the only one thing British raj done for the betterment of subcontinent people was organization of railway in the country.

We have one a short ride away but it is not the main junction.
I have travelled by Amtrak in California and have carried with me great memories.

That looks like a really big train station. I’d like to travel Pakistan by train, it would be very interesting, I think.
