Tips and tricks to prevent root rot in adeiums
This adenium obesum plant has been with me for the last six years. It is one of my favorite flowering plants in my garden. The color didn’t come out very well in this picture , it is a deep shade of purple. It always has a whole bunch of blooms for most part of the year. However, adeniums face the threat of rotting in the rainy season like succulents. I have to struggle to keep the from getting wet in the rainy season. Last season , I thought I almost lost it, but a quick surgery and hanging it to dry by the roots after an application of fungicidal powder help resurrect this plant. That was the reason for me to use this picture to wish you happy Easter.
Another trick to ensure that adeniums do not suffer root rot is to pot it cacti soil or a mix of pebbles with well draining soil. I always use small sized pebbles. in my soil mix.
Potting them in earthen /terracotta pots helps, Ceramic and plastic pots tend to retain more moisture.

There are tropical plants , also called desert rose.
This is an absolutely gorgeous flower. Even though you say the color is purple, this pink picture is glamorous. It is too bad that I really do not think we have these here in Canada unless they can be an indoor plant.
These are desert plants and may not thrive in the weather there in Canada. The long , cold winters could kill these plants.
