All of the photos you are about to see were taken in the middle of April along Scenic Highway California 46 West. It connects I-101 in Paso Robles to California Highway 1 along the coast. Every spring this wild mustard sets the hills around me ablaze.
Wow this is amazing and so green.
It won’t be for long. Without rain it all turns brown.

No. I’m not sure how to use it in cooking, and I don’t use much mustard anyway.
Such a beautiful scenery! I love the combination of blue, yellow and green.

One flower alone doesn’t make much of an impression, but when it covers a hillside it can be impressive.
