Once Upon an Herb Garden (7/9)

List item

Since I moved to another house, this garden has almost disappeared, but it used to be a lovely herb garden with some irises and daffodils to contrast with the purple sages you see at the back. Now the gophers have eaten almost every remaining iris on the property and the yellow and orange calendula that used to reseed freely have died because I’m no longer there to water them. Only a few herbs that are drought-resistant, like the sage, butterfly bush, and rosemary, still bloom.
