This hypnotic water fountain was designed by the British sculptor William Pye and is located in Sunderland, North England. In fountain “The Vortex Fountain” is a mild and soothing water stream replaced by a powerful water whirlpool. The illusion of standing water block is created using a transparent acrylic body. The water runs off the sides of the housing, while the vortex itself is formed by the use of strong changing currents.
