The Monastery Putna is one of the most important cultural and religious testimony of the ancient Moldavia, being built for the first time by the Prince Stephen the Great. It’s and Orthodox monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The monastery buried three times, and was rebuilt again. 

The oldest embroidery of the monastery made at the end of 14th century is an epitaphion created with silk and gold, thread by Euphima, a Serbian nun.
