Your order of operations are different than mine, she’d have a background but perhaps be missing whiskers if she were a kitty…
I have a lot more options due to my digital format…
It’s still possible to change traditional backgrounds later in the game, but not nearly as easily as digital when you work in layers…

Some pieces don’t need a background. That having been said, I could’ve picked a better abstract for the piece…
