Cuzco, Peru (6/10)

In the southern part of Peru, the Cusco, located in the Andes, is a city which was built in the 11th century. founded by Incas. Therefore, even today there are abundant of fortresses and temples reminiscent of the Incas. However, the Spanish conquistadors, who in the 16th century conquered the Inca Empire, destroyed a considerable part of the spectacular architecture, robbed the gold and silver details of the decor. Today Cusco is a city where you can feel both the greatness of the Incas Empire and the Spanish mentality. Not without reason, it is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
