If you’re ever in the Bahamas, be sure to check out the capital city of Nassau. The Bahamas’ largest city has much to offer. Parliament Square is within walking distance of the harbor where most cruise ships dock. These buildings date back to the early 1800’s, and the Queen Victoria statue out front was completed in 1905.
If you’re up for a longer hike, you can visit the Queen’s Staircase. Carved out of limestone, the staircase is 102 feet long and has 66 steps.
Located in close proximity to the top of the staircase stands Fort Fincastle. Erected in 1793, the Fort stands atop Bennet’s Hill which is the highest point in the city of Nassau.
Then, head down to Junkanoo Beach to relax, grab drink, or take a swim.
I would love to do this. Great post Chris!
