Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. And there is definitely no better way to make it more magical than to visit some of the most wonderful Christmas markets. These markets are like homes to tasty food, local drinks, colorful crafts and all of these spiced up with many bright lights. The streets are mainly lined up with quaint wooden huts, and you can feel in the air the smell of chestnuts and mulled wine, that when combined with the sound of the traditional carols make the Christmas season all the merrier.

Prague, Czech Republic

Christmas markets definitely bring in the festive magic in the Czech Republic, and the best ones happen in Prague. The markets create a wonderland setting, gathering locals and tourists from everywhere at one place. The main Christmas markets in Prague are set at the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. The Prague Christmas Markets will open their doors on 26th November 2016 and will stay open until 01st January 2017. Visitors will be able to enjoy in this winter wonderland, with some Christmas carols, tasty food and local drinks.


Vienna, Austria

The Vienna Christmas markets are one of the oldest ones, dating back to the Middle Ages, or to be more precise in 1928 when Albrecht I granted the citizens of Vienna the privilege of holding a December Market or “Krippenmarkt”. And nowadays, there are more than 20 Advent Markets in Vienna where visitors and locals can feel the magic of the Christmas spirit. The Christmas market in Vienna will start on 13th November and will last till 26th December 2016.


Brussels, Belgium

If you haven’t been to Brussels yet, then you may visit it this Christmas. The Winter Wonders is the main event then and it takes place at the Grand-Place in Brussels and around the Bourse, the Place de la Monnaie, the Place Sainte-Catherine and the Marché aux Poissons. This event features the great Christmas market with over than 200 chalets, a Christmas tree, an ice rink for skating etc. It starts on 25th November 2016 and it will last till 01st January 2017. So, go ahead and book your tickets as soon as possible.
