Cape Town, South Africa is one of the most important port cities in the African continent. As with any major urban town in the world, there are neighborhoods that you need to avoid whenever you are travelling. In the near future, the South African army will be deployed to ten different neighborhoods in Cape Town.
The violence in these neighborhoods is at such a high level that these ten communities have caused two out of every five attempted murders in the first six months of 2019. Here are the names of the ten neighborhoods to avoid in Cape Town.
Bishop Lavis, Mitchells Plain, Delft, Elsies River, Nyanga, Khayelitsha, Mfuleni, Philippi, Kraaifontein, Manenberg.
If you see these neighborhoods on your itinerary, then contact your travel agent to change the places that you visit when you are in Cape Town.
So many violent cities here in the US as well. Too bad it is world wide.
The way that the world is now, we must always be on guard wherever we go.
I didn’t realize that things were so bad in South Africa, let alone Cape Town.
South Africa has always been like this due to many generations of oppression.
