Sunrise at Lake Kissimmee

After walking hours out to the shoreline of Lake Kissimmee in the very chilly Winter morning air, I finally made the shoreline. This Florida State Park is located SouthEast of Orlando and has a large prairie or savannah that is before the lake itself. The sandy trail that takes you along the forest margin out to the lake felt like about 3-5 miles long. There were armadillos and sandhill cranes along the way and even black vultures and Bald Eagles in the sky. On the shoreline it was very marshy and pretty and the sun was reflecting in the water as it just came over the horizon.
