Penataran Agung Lempuyang Temple

As an island known as The Island of A Thousand Temples, the splendor of the temple building in Bali very remarkable. When you visit Lempuyang Temple, The Oldest Temple in Bali at the top of Mount Lempuyang, you will see the splendor of Penataran Agung Lempuyang Temple located not far from the parking area as The First Temple at the mountain of Lempuyang Temple.

Penataran Agung Lempuyang Temple is precisely located at Purwa Ayung Village, Abang District, Karangasem Regency in Eastern Bali. Majestic temple with 3 part of stairs with long dragon statue on each side and to get to this temple, of course you have to go through the stairs on the left or right side, not from the middle stairs because the middle staircase is considered sacred and is only used at ceremony only.

From this temple we can see beautiful mountain scenery, cool with sacred atmosphere around the temple area. I took this picture around 3 pm and the atmosphere is quiet from tourists who might have reached the temple at the summit or already on the way to go down.
