Marx and Engels are still here in Berlin

This bronze statue is in a park in Berlin.

Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, the founders of the theory of Communism, sit and stand as memorials to East Berlin’s Communist past.

It is a popular memorial, with many tourists stopping to take a photo – including me, it would appear! Finding a moment to take the shot was not easy, thanks to the queue of people who wanted to be photographed sitting on Karl Marx’s knee!
