At Fort Ticonderoga on Lake Champlain in Upstate NY we are touring below the fort now near the William Pell house. Here there are vegetable gardens and the very large King’s Garden. The King’s Garden is a walled garden that was large and beautiful. It had tall brick walls surrounding ornate gardens that were about the size of a football field. There were nooks in the wall and statuary also. Why was it fortified?
Thank you for sharing the images of Fort Ticonderoga.
