While visiting scenic and historic Fort Ticonderoga we have walked way down below the Fort to Lake Champlain itself. Near the large William Pell estate there was a cabin off near the woods. It was in disrepair and appeared to have not been lived in for 80 years. I imagine it was the caretakers cabin or gardeners house at one time.
