- Casa Batllo, also called the Bone House, is just around the corner from Casa Mila. This house is the masterpiece of Gaudi. Like many creations, it has almost no straight lines. - The Gothic Quarter is the historic center of Barcelona, a place where the Romans in III century BC founded own colony, later developed into a city. The Gothic Quarter is the oldest part of the city. That’s it where the Barcelona Cathedral is built. The Gothic Quarter features dark and narrow streets with walls of tall, brick houses (such houses were built in the 14th – 15th centuries). The narrow Gothic streets lead to the huge city squares, one of them – Placa de Sant Jaume Square.
