My List of Top 5 Tweets for Week of October 13, 2019

This week’s focus:  Tweets that have popular hashtags or words or Twitter handles that begin with the letter “U”.

#1 UNICEF Helps Children Around the World

My obvious first choice for the letter “U” is Unicef, a non-profit organization that has existed for decades with a primary goal of helping needy children around the world.

#2 Uhuru Park is in Naroibi, Kenya

I don't know much about this park but when somebody describes a government as “drunk”, that can't be good.  Although, a disaffected outsider like me just observing might ask:  Why is there an expressway in the park?  (O.o)

#3 User Experience (UX) Design. Toggle Tokens or Checkboxes?

Evidently, this is a popular topic.  150 tweets in an hour.  It's about a process that design teams use to create a product for users that provides a relevant and meaningful user experience.  Interesting.  Toggle Tokens or Checkboxes?  Ummm?  Honestly, as a user, I never really cared.  (O.o)

Can you think of a product you use that provides a meaningful and relevant experience??

#4 U is for United Arabs Emirates (AND poverty)

In the USA, I hear a lot about the UAE, the United Arab Emirates.  Mainly what I have heard is it's a bunch of filthy rich people walking around in sheik robes with a lot of money who don't give a crap about poor people.  That's what I heard.  But is it true?

#5 U is for United States (AND poverty)

Old folks used to say when I was growing up.  'When you point one finger at me, you're pointing three back at yourself.'  Don't laugh but to this day I try to avoid pointing my finger even when I'm giving directions.  LOL.

Anyway, the analogy is:  Can't point a finger at the UAE without pointing three back at my own country, the USA.

I'm pointing my 3 fingers at the October 15th, 2019 Democratic Debate.  It came and went.  One of our candidates in the 2020 Presidential Election advocates the UBI, Universal Basic Income, as a means to combat poverty or the fear of poverty.  I disagree with him.  To me, it sounds like you're putting an entire nation on the welfare system.  Whatever!  That's my opinion.  But lots of folks are in favor of this suggestion.  Fine.  If I have to stand alone and oppose it, I'll stand alone and on my own.  God Bless the USA!
