OVERVIEW
Perhaps, in the 90s it was not that difficult to create and manage a website. There were not as many sites, and many of the users were fey with the Internet, and the standard of behaviour was a tad higher.
Today, there are millions of sites, and many users know no more than point and click, while trolls abound.
To even consider starting a blog requires some effort.
Will you be paid? Who can join? What is the purpose?

Communication is the most important part.
Definately, for when people don’t understand what is happening they often leave.
