Facebook 'Friends' – 4

As bad as it is to ‘friend’ an A.I. always appreciate that criminals use Facebook to find victims.

They’ll send out a slurry of friend requests under some name, get on to various accounts.  They’ll skim them to pick up information, then,  create another account as some lost friend from childhood.

For example, Molly and Joan are talking;  they mention Cindy whom they haven’t seen for thirty years, since Primary School.  They mention something about the dog she had or how she loved hamburgers or whatever.

Depending on how much information, the criminal can search for that Cindy, find her address, a photo, anything to use.

So be very careful when you accept friend requests.
