Valentina Shevchenko defended her championship in the flyweight division (125 lbs) with a KO of challenger Jessica Saturday evening at the United Center in Chicago. For most of the fight, Shevchenko dominated with kicks to the leg and with leg sweeps. That focus on the legs set up this left switch kick that decimated Eye. She kicked Eye in the eye!

Yeah, the weight classes are different weights in MMA and in boxing. In MMA, flyweight is 125 lbs, while in boxing, flyweight is 112 lbs. In MMA, bantamweight is 135 lbs, while in boxing, bantamweight is 118 lbs.
but the names are downright humiliating; featherweight, flyweight, wussyweight…
