Sassuolo and Hellas Verona play to a 3-3 draw

Although Sassuolo is in 12th place in the Serie A, they are Italy’s most exciting team.  For the second straight match in a row, Sassuolo plays to a 3-3 draw.  Last Wednesday, Sassuolo went 3-3 with Inter Milan.  To top that match, Sassuolo went 3-3 at home against 9th place Hellas Verona at the Venue MAPEI Stadium.

This match was so interesting because all six goals were scored in the second half.  The scoring began in the 51st minute when Verona left back Darko Lazovic sent in a laser from about 30 yards out into the top right-hand corner to go up 1-0.  The lead did not last too long as Sassulo’s Jeremie Boga slotted the ball into the net at an extreme angle two minutes later to tie the score at 1-1.

Four minutes later, Lazovic was involved again as he sent in a marvellous cross to Mariusz Stepinski, who chested the ball into the open net for Hellas Verona to go back up 2-1.  This time, Verona did not sit on their lead.  In the 68th minute, a bad turnover led to a breakaway goal for Matteo Pessina to go up 3-1.

However, Boga struck again with a lovely lob in the 77th minute to put the score at 3-2.  Due to all of this scoring, there were seven minutes of added extra time.  Rogelio sent in a rocket from 30 yards out in the 97th minute to tie the score up.  You will have to check out the highlights below because all six goals were rather impressive.
