I woke up early this morning because I wanted to go to the Pop Pilates class at the gym. Pop Pilates is a new class at the gym, involves pilates moves and poses with an emphasis on a cardio workout. I feel heated up or sweaty by the end of the one-hour class. When I arrived at the gym, I noticed a sign on the glass door stated that today’s class was cancelled. This is the second time that this class was cancelled. At least, last week there was a substitute instructor for this class. I decided to go upstairs and brisk walk on the treadmill with a video trail. I tried the Cape Cod South Africa video trail, which is 3 miles long. It took me 45 minutes to finish, and I burned 475 calories. I felt the trail was very hilly because my treadmill incline kept going up and down from 10 to -2 inclines. And, this trail felt like a coastal trail, similar to Southern Cali’s Pacific Coast Highway, which goes all the way up to San Francisco. I finished my treadmill walking at 9:48 am. I decided to go home. As I walked through the mall, I noticed that the mall looked empty, devoid of much human activity, except for maybe maintenance people and other mall workers. Most restaurants and stores still haven’t opened yet. The mall looked deserted and quiet. Usually when I finish my workout, it is around 11 am or later, and the mall is very active and busy by that time with people wandering around and eating snacks, business people stopping by on their lunch break, and some housewives wandering around with their small children. There might also be some people walking their dogs.
Today was my early morning workout before life actually started. I also plan to go on a 5-mile walking hike at 6:30 pm, but this walking hike is very casual and relaxed around two manmade lakes, coastal-style townhomes, and wildlife inhabitants.
I added a snapshot of my new ASICS sneakers from Nordstrom Rack. They are very comfortable because they are surrounded by thick cushion. It feels like I am floating on a cloud, when I walk. And, I liked the tropical summery colors of turquoise, sea foam green, and neon orange coral, which reminds me of the Cali coast.
