Bayern Munich winger Philippe Coutinho is now fully settled in after their 6-1 victory over struggling Werder Bremen. Bayern actually spotted Bremen a 1-0 before destroying them with six straight goals. Coutinho played his best game since winning the Copa America with Brazil this summer. He had a career-best game by scoring three goals along with two assists.
The last two goals scored by Coutinho were absolutely ridiculous. He lobbed the second goal over the goalkeeper’s head in the 63rd minute, and whipped a curling shot in from left of the goal all the way to the top right-hand corner of the goal in the 78th minute. For Bayern to continue their dominance, getting the ball to Philippe Coutinho is mandatory.
I do not like Coutinho. He did nothing playing for Barcelona.
It was the coach’s fault, Valverde had him playing in the wrong spot. Coutinho is a midfielder and not a forward. Coutinho does just fine as a midfielder for Inter, Liverpool, Bayern, and Brazil. For example, Griezmann is playing in the wrong spot for Barcelona because he is an inside attacker and not an outside attacker.
I thought Coutinho was a forward. Liverpool made a good business selling him very expensive
With that sale, Liverpool was able to buy Alisson and to keep Mane, Salah, Van Dijk, and Firmino.
But these players are no so outstanding it is the coach who makes them play well. Klopp is a great manager.
Otherwise, I like Bayern I just think he lacks something to perfection … he has great individuals …. I think his European journey will end next round … not a team that convinces me
It sort of depends on the draw on Monday. The best way to attack Bayern is straight up the middle.
Good luck on the games!
No luck on this one. This game was already over when I posted it.
