Thank you Catalina Ponor! The gymnast in Romania has unfortunately reached the end of the road! The road of immense performance made by you unfortunately is over! For many years I have watched the competitions in which they competed. I wept, we laughed and we enjoyed every success! After Nadia Comăneci, Romania had a queen at the bar! Unfortunately, age and health are not on your side! Please stay with gymnastics in romania! Teach children what it means to become Olympic, World and European champion! She was great & will be missed.
Even though I am a fan of Gabrielle “Gabby” Douglas and Simone Biles, Catalina Ponor next to Nadia Comaneci who I remember in the 1976 Summer Olympic Games in Montreal Canada, Catalina and Nadia are the very best gymnasts in Romania. Like the old saying goes “Sobering truth and eternal hope” when a gymnastics career comes to an end. Long live the legacy of Queen Catalina Ponor.
