The mother hides them from onlookers like me…
While I was getting ready to take pictures of them, the mother cried out twice and they gathered under her wings.
I stood for about 10 minutes, but she hid them so well that I could barely make a few shots.
I know that there are gray crows in the area that can kidnap young birds.
But this mother keeps her generation very well.
How cool, she is protecting her babies.
I’ve seen them pluck feathers from a crow’s tail 🙂
She is just practicing her Mother’s instinct! And is doing a good job!
