Sunday Sea Snails, almost underwater

Sea snails are what these sweet marine gastropod slugs are called. They have an external shell and they are attached to sea stones.

Most often, their shells are spirally coiled. Their size and appearance varies, the largest living shelled found was a surprising 91 centimeters!

Most of the snails breath through their gills and just a few of them breathe with a lung (these are active only at low tide)

Some of them could be edible, but I personally prefer to admire them – would not even think of using them as food!

This video shows two snails slowly moving without exiting their shell. I guess that they noticed human presence and they did not feel safe enough to exit their shells.Enjoy these relaxing moments .. I could stay there for hours just watching the wave and the snails!
