Sky Scapes to Show

One of those mornings where the clouds were in an unusual way and so had to show these photos.

That was a week ago.

Its been the driest December and January ever. Now it is pouring with rain. Its almost as if the skies were saving up the rain with a vengeance!

However, Im grateful for our garden badly needs water.

#1 Greeted with almost Marmalade Skies

Village in Onehunga.

#2 Shape of Clouds this day.

Not sure whether any one would believe these were clouds if you could paint them.

#3 Lighting

Often our skies have a slight yellow ochre from ground level, that's the heat from the ground. It has been very hot and very humid. About 75% humidity just before the rains came.

#4 Another view of the village and sky.

A few different patterns. Some clouds are higher than others.

Another name for New Zealand is "Aotearoa", it means "Land of the long white cloud". Looking at our clouds, Im not at all surprised.

What do you think?
