Gil Camporazo
This bird is considered as the national bird of our country Philippines. It is the monkey-eating eagle or popularly noted as the Philippine Eagle.
It is a big bird that has the maximum length of 102 cm and weighs up to 8.0 kgs. It is found in Mindanao, the second large groups of island in the country.
Its feathers are grey, brown and white. It has a big talons to catch its prey. It feeds with rats and snakes.
Why-monkey-eating eagle? Does it really eat monkeys? 🙂
Yes, you read it. They fed with the monkeys in the forest. Our monkeys are small.
I know now, my husband told me about that. He says that monkeys there are small like cats.
He is right. Our monkey living in the forest is as big as the cat.
That is really cool looking. I like anything that eats snakes and keeps them away from me.
That is good. They get rid of those creeping things.
