Dealing with False Memory – 8

Dina believed her father molested her when she was a child.   She could ‘remember’ when she was eight how her father came into her bedroom.

This never happened.

At the age of 39, at some family function, other relatives were discussing how her father had a stroke when she was six and couldn’t leave his bed.  One described pushing him in a wheelchair, another feeding him.Hearing this, Dina nearly fainted.  Suddenly, truth pushed in, shoving her false memories into the trash.   She remembered how her father lay in bed, could barely speak, or move and died when she was eight.

Dina’s story is the exception.

Most Victims of False Memory carry it to their grave.
