Attention Forest Preserve District of Cook County! Deer cannot read. (2018-08-29 16-39-02a)
OK, I know they were just trying to be clever with the sign. It just failed. I know that people shouldn’t feed the deer, not only for the deer’s welfare (inappropriate food) but for the person (deer ticks carry Lyme Disease and you don’t want to get Lyme Disease). However, seeing the sign is going to make people who never would have thought of it before to feed the deer. That’s just human nature.
The photo was taken at St. Paul’s Woods, part of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, in Morton Grove, Illinois.
I used a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera to take the photo and ACDSee Ultimate 2019 to do the post processing.. I adjusted the white balance (temperature and tint) and the lighting. Then I boosted the contrast and the clarity.

In translation, do not feed da deers. Hehe : )
It is one way to try to get the humans not to feed the deer at this park.
The problem is it gives people the idea that they can feed the animals when they would not have thought of it otherwise.
That is true since our nature is thumb our nose at the authorities.
Now that is a good one Gary.
Thanks, Carol. I’m glad you liked it.
