Venetian Regatta is one of the most important events that take place in Venice. After the Venice Carnival and the film festival, this is the most popular event among both tourists and locals. The race consists of a historical parade accompanied races in different categories: quite enough excitement for the many tourists who are attracted by boats and rowers shouting, fighting for the best place to observe along the entire Grand Canal.

I have been to Venice but at that time I doubt if there were any events happening.
