Texas School Principal Uses Facebook To Encourage Students To Read

I have to give my respects to Homer Drive Elementary School Principal Belinda George for her use of Facebook Live to read to the students around the world on Tuesday evenings as part of her “Tucked In Tuesdays” book reading program where Belinda is in her home reading to the students who have access to computers in their homes to improve their reading skills by setting an example by reading a children’s book to them.

Belinda has been the principal of Homer Drive Elementary School which is located in Beaumont Texas for over one year does not have any children of her own.

What amazes me of Belinda is that her love of children as the principal of her school and her knowledge of Facebook Live is being used properly for students around the world to read a book with her so they can improve their reading skills that will be useful when the children become adults.

The reading rate at Homer Drive Elementary School has improved dramatically in her school since she started this program.

It is amazing that a principal at an elementary school has a hands on way to encourage children to learn the valuable skill of reading at such a young age.

Talk about a principal that leads by example and she does it for the love of seeing her students learn reading skills that will make them productive citizens later on their life.
