Salina Turda

Salina Turda salt mine located in Turda in Transylvania, Romania and the largest salt mine museum on the planet. In this salt mine is practiced since the Middle Ages, 17 century and was first mentioned (in the document) in 1075. Since 1992 Salina Turda was transformed into a center halo-therapy (therapeutic method that helps in the treatment of many respiratory and skin diseases) as well as a popular tourist attraction. Moreover, mine is an open museum for all the curious who want to experience the events that occurred in the region during the Roman occupation.
