Saint Peter’s Square – Vatican 

in front of St. Peters Basilica in the Vatican there is a huge oval St. Peter’s Square (Piazza San Pietro). The square was designed by the famous Bernini. In the middle of the square is the obelisk at Heliopolis in Egypt that Caligula back in 37 years moved to Rome and at the current site of the 16 th century. On the side of the obelisk are two fountains. Square surrounded by a colonnade with Doric columns that include the 140 statues of saints.
