S.S. Minnow at Belmont Harbor, Chicago, Illinois (2005-09-09 11-32-00b)
The photo was taken in Bekmont Harbor, Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL (Cook County). Unfortunately Neither the Skipper, Gilligan, Ginger, Mary Ann, the Professor or the Howells were available for photos.
This is not the Minnow from “Gilligan’s Island.” It just shares the name.
I used a Pentax Optio 555 camera to take the photo. I used Luminar 2018 to do the editing. I started with the Develop filter and used it to increase the contrast, highlights, shadows and clarity and reduce the whites. Next I added the Accent-AI and Polarizing filters and used the Tone filter to lower the SmartTone. I used the Saturation/Vibrance filter to raise the vibrance. Lastly I added the Orton filter and fine-tuned it to taste.

Thank you for the kind words. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
What a great post. Thanks for sharing it.
Thank you. I appreciate the feedback.
Oh rat and I thought it was the S.S. Minnow from “Les naufrages” in French. But, anyway great picture and capture of a great reminder of past times.
I’d never heard of that one but I looked it up on IMDB and it looks good.
I just might have induced you in error Gary and I apologize for that. The French version of “Gilligan’s Island” was “Les joyeux naufragés”. I forgot the “joyeux”. But please be assured that I did watch it but rarely in French because I am not too inclined to watch translation. I rather wacth the original English version as I am totally bilingual.
Love the effects in this photo Gary. Great job.
Thanks, Carol. I like using it.
