Personality Quiz

I quite like taking personality quizzes. I try to be quick with my answers because I feel if I do it that way I am more accurate.  I also believe that if I take it all with a grain of salt I can learn things about myself and perhaps even make some improvements.

We often take the quizzes for ourselves and then  have our partners, friends and family take them with their perspective of us.  This way we can see how we see ourselves compared to how others see us. It can be very telling and helpful. I am going to go out on a limb and share the results of a quiz I took.

Thank you for completing our personality test! Here is a copy of your results:

Personality type: “The Mediator” (INFP-T)

Individual traits: Introverted – 65%, Intuitive – 76%, Feeling – 51%, Prospecting – 68%, Turbulent – 89%

Role: Diplomat

Strategy: Constant Improvement

So what does that mean? Well we will break it down a little more and I am interested if you believe it to be fairly accurate. Here is the first part of the details they shared.

“INFP personalities are true idealists, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events, searching for ways to make things better. While they may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, INFPs have an inner flame and passion that can truly shine. Comprising just 4% of the population, the risk of feeling misunderstood is unfortunately high for the INFP personality type – but when they find like-minded people to spend their time with, the harmony they feel will be a fountain of joy and inspiration.”

“Being a part of the Diplomat personality group, INFPs are guided by their principles, rather than by logic (Analysts), excitement (Explorers), or practicality (Sentinels). When deciding how to move forward, they will look to honor, beauty, morality and virtue – INFPs are led by the purity of their intent, not rewards and punishments. People who share the INFP personality type are proud of this quality, and rightly so, but not everyone understands the drive behind these feelings, and it can lead to isolation.”

So based on my writing and interaction here would you say this Accurate?

Would you say it is way off base?

Are you afraid to make a choice?

Any Brave Souls?

Here is my challenge to you. Based solely on your impression of me by what you know on this site are you willing to take the personality quiz answering as you see me and then publishing the answer you get? I think it would be interesting and helpful. You may even enjoy taking the quiz for yourself. It would at least be something a little different to chat about and maybe we would all learn something.  If you are a brave soul and willing you can just click and go for it.

  1. My personality type came out as ADVOCATE and since Martin Luther King and Mother Theresa are in my group I think I am on the right path. This was very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I think it suits you, it’s odd they say INFP is so rare while many people online identify as such. Being introverted, I guess most INFP feel more comfortable sharing their thoughts and attempt to inspire positivity on the internet, than elsewhere.
I find personality tests to be valuable but I don’t think we can let just one result describe us. As you can see, your Feeling and Thinking are very close, that means you may find INTP and INFJ fairly accurate as well. That would be my case, for example. ?
