Madison-Wabash L Station with Trains (B&W) (2015-03-10 14-24-21a)
The Madison-Wabash station is one of the earliest of the L stations. It was closed down on 15 Mar 2015 and has since ben demolished. The Orange Line train on the left is southbound and the Green Line train on the right is northbound. The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera and I converted it to black and white using Luminar 2018. I used the RAW Develop filter to lowered the exposure -0.5 ev, raised the contrast and clarity and open up the shadows a bit. I added the Accent-AI filter and used the Tone filter to lower the SmartTone substantially. In the B&W Conversion filter I raised the warm colors and lowered the cool ones, and raised contrast, highlights, shadows and details.

You are most welcome Gary. I always love seeing how an artist like yourself, moves something from image to art!

Thank you very much, Jasmine. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
So beautiful in black and white, almost makes them look like platinum.
Thanks, carol. I’m glad you liked it. I kinda surprised myself with the way it turned out. 🙂
I remember riding the trains in New York City when my relatives and myself would visit my late uncle and aunt who lived in the Bronx.
I’ve ridden those a few times also.
Riding a subway is a nice experience.
I love train stations and trains
Me too. I’m glad I was able to photograph this one before it got demolished.
