Authors like Hemingway fascinate me. They make writing seem so easy and their books are interesting. I am stuck that way. I know I can never write a novel I do not have enough experience to be able to research the material I would need and have not been to too many places or had fascinating experiences. I do love to write spooky and horror stories but they are just figments of my imagination and I don’t even know if they are any good. Perhaps I will drop one here and see what results.
Hello dear friend, I agree with you about Hemingway, but Sandra, how on earth can you sell your talent short like this? What else do you think a horror, or spooky story is, but a novel? They are one and the same thing. The “notorious” book I’m writing is based on a true story with a very real main character even the incredible central plot is real I even know how her story ended, but I feel, she deserves a far better deal in life and this is largely where my problem lies I don’t know enough about her to add authentic scenes that suit the real person’s nature nor do I want to underplay her heroism. Her real life story is somewhere between Robin Hood’s Maid Marion and Joan of Arc, IE ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous In a way, the various plots playing through my mind are rather amusing to say the least. What I’m saying, is the real life stuff she had done, was pretty amazing anyhow. WOW, I better stop, I seem to be getting a book, growing here. lol. Have a really cool weekend! Regards, Andre’
