For me, it was devastating, emotional, and hard to wrap my head around. I was at we work and we quickly realized we knew coworkers who were clearly in harms way. It was numbing and everyone went silent.
When I saw a clip of a member of congress refer to 9/11 “as the day that some people did something” I was angry. I thought is was much more than just what some people did. Perhaps I am over sensitive because it impacted people I knew and love. Still, I don’t think it should be ignored. It should be addressed.
I was listening the BBC and heard about it. I got to the office and tried to call relatives in NY but the calls didn’t go through. It wasn’t until the next day I could get get a call to someone… remarkably, she had been late that morning, so wasn’t there when it happened.
