Two Different Directions

source

This is one of the most revealing pieces of music that I have ever heard. It is so true in so many cases. True love can really turn to hate. We see it over and over. Recently I attended a wedding where the father actually sang the song before the couple took their vows. He then expressed, “If you have a map and a compass and the same goals, let’s do this. If you are headed in different directions, let’s have a different kind of celebration. Lets have a moment of silence while you to decide if this is your time for the journey together.”

I was impressed with the fathers loving tone. It sounded like good advice to me. Let’s just stop a moment and see where we are.

So if you want to know what happened, let me know. I would also be very interested in know what you think of the lyrics and music.

Thanks, so much for stopping by.

  1. That does sound like good advice and I hope the father gave them that advice several times before they ever got to the wedding ceremony. That’s a piece of advice you can’t say too many times BEFORE the vows are exchanged. Marriage is a sacred union. If you tear asunder what God had joined together, only God knows what the consequences will be.
