Scattered – 2

To give you an example of what I mean when I use the term ‘scattered’ meet Melissa.

Melissa was a bit spoiled as a child and somehow, thinks she is brilliant. She isn’t. She is of average intelligence. She ought have appreciated that when she was unable to gain a scholarship to University.

When her parents died, they left their house to her. All she had to do was register their deaths on the Title.

This does not require a University degree. Get the death certificate, pick up the title, (which already has her name on it), and register the death of her parents.

In 2006 this could have been done, and would have been done by a person who could focus. But Melissa is scattered. She had so many things to do. In 2018 Melissa hires a lawyer to register the deaths.

That is twelve years later.

Melissa has no medical condition, no children, no business to run. In fact, she’s a minor employee whose work life is confined to eight hours a day, five days a week. There is no real outside influence which could  explain the delay. It is just that she ‘never got around to it’. In Twelve years.

This is how people who are scattered operate.
