Confederate Roses

I was introduced to these wonderful flowers about ten years ago, an elderly lady broke off long stems and gave them to me, told me to put them in a bucket of water, when roots came, plant them.

I did and have enjoyed them every single year since.

They do die all the way down to the grown and new limbs come each springtime.

But here in central Alabama we only get the beautiful show in the fall, sometimes right before a freeze!

This year we are blessed and get to enjoy them much longer.
