My Ultimate Menu: Part 2

I recently went to Maui for my brother’s wedding and experienced something I thought would have to make it onto anyone’s Ultimate Menu. My family and I stayed in the town of Kihei on the south side of the island. Besides the Hawaiian wedding itself and the great wedding photos, we collected some more inspiring moments there. The northernmost part of Kihei features an Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice. As of this writing, this location has 1137 reviews on Yelp and maintains a 5-star rating!

Ululani’s features over 40 syrups resulting in thousands of possible flavor combinations. I ordered the No Ka Oi (which translates to “The Best”), a combination of coconut, mango, and liliko’i (passion fruit) syrups. I add haupia (coconut) ice cream to the bottom and top off the treat with a snow cap (sweetened condensed milk mixture).

Ululani’s is heaven to your taste buds. Perfect for a snack or dessert, the sweet (but not too sweet) flavors and smooth texture of the ice, combined with Maui-made Roselani’s Premium Gourmet ice cream is one of the best sweet treats I have ever had.

After adding Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice, here is where the Ultimate Menu stands:

Breakfast/Brunch Menu

Dungeness crab benedict – Nick’s Cove

Dessert

Snow capped No Ka Oi with haupia ice cream – Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice
