My foodie experience with wasabi is limited but memorable. I was at the local grocery store and as is my custom, I always look for free food samples. This particular day they were giving away sushi samples. They had soy sauce and wasabi as condiments. There was just a small green dab of wasabi paste. Or so I thought. I picked up the small piece of sushi and wiped it with that dab of wasabi paste. My daughter was going to try to warn me but before she could say anything, I put the whole thing in my mouth.
WHOA!! Did you know that wasabi is excellent for clearing your sinuses? I don’t know if that’s true or not. But I can tell you that the wasabi was so powerful that my nostrils opened up like an angry bull! It felt like my head was going to explode. I loved it!! LOL.
