Manually Made Coffee with Crema Top Layer

Tuesday, 7.20.21

I figured out how to make the crema top layer over my coffee drink. I use Super Coffee grinded coffee and my Bodum French Press. Super Coffee grinds come in little containers per cup. I pour the container into my French Press, before adding hot water, depending how much I want—3 oz, 4 oz, 5 oz, or 6 oz–into the French Press. Today, I accidentally did it 8 oz. Leave it for 10 minutes. Then, I lightly stir it for a couple of seconds. A crema appears on top. I use a small spoon and scoop up the crema top layer into my cup. Then, I use the French Press normally, and push the lever to the bottom, before pouring the coffee into my cup over the crema. The crema still remains on top, over the coffee.

This cup, in the above snapshot, is actually from last time, in which I made 4 oz of Super Coffee with a Bodum French Press.
