Fall/Winter 2020-2021Fashions

Wednesday, September 9, 2020

  1. Historical shapes from past. Puffy shoulders, wide shoulders, and long coats. Lacy virginal white gown, ruffled blouse with puffy sleeves, and black/white. These styles look kind of antiquish as well as dressy. I don’t think these styles are practical for everyday life.
  2. Natural colors and earthy tones. Beiges, browns, and olive. These colors are the norms for autumn season because warm-toned, rustic colors and shades are always popular for autumn. Yeah, the color brown symbolizes stability and down-to-earth.
  3. Pragmatic functionality. Comfort with minimal pieces. This style has been practical for a while now because people are becoming even more practical because of the lockdown, economic collapse, and nowhere to go. Capes, jumpsuits, long coats, and boots.
  4. Luxurious lounge-wear. Midi-length and full-length dresses. Loose and flowy.

Based on this list, it is apparent that this lockdown, economic collapse, cornyflu, mind-fuck lifestyle will continue for this autumn and winter because they are creating fashions to fit this lifestyle. Many people during this time have probably gained weight, why is why baggy and loose clothing are now being promoted. There is nowhere to go, which is discouraging many people from dressing up and going out. People now are dressing like homeless people and stuffing food down their throats because they are depressed, feeling quite hopeless for their future.

  1. Working from home and not going out as much my wardrobe consists of comfortable clothes for home wear and clothes for going out. Here in Florida that weather pretty much remains the same so I have loose comfortable fitting clothes when I do go out,
